2024
10/16

Recently, the TID Award (Taiwan Interior Design Award) was announced, recognizing YANG's design for the Hilton Nanjing Niushoushan as the 2024 TID Award winner in the category of Commercial Space of Hotel Design. This project stands out as the sole recipient in its category.

The TID Award has been established for 17 years. It aims to recognize elite designers in the Asia-Pacific region and celebrate outstanding design achievements worldwide, and has become one of the major awards for international interior design. It not only showcases the creative thinking of contemporary elites but also serves as a trendsetter in the field of design.

This year's competition attracted thousands of submissions, and the judging process was particularly rigorous. While emphasizing originality and uniqueness, it incorporated standards such as innovation, contemporaneity and social responsibility. YANG stood out with its innovative interpretation of local cultural contexts and forward-thinking design.

In the design of Hilton Nanjing Niushoushan, YANG focused on the local Buddhist Zen culture, incorporating the concepts of "Mind, Emptiness, and Joy" from the Niutou Zen School and translating them into an Eastern aesthetic that is simple and ethereal, natural and pristine, serene and joyful. With a freehand approach, YANG created a vast and elegant environment, giving the traditional business-oriented Hilton a new charm and creating a secluded Zen realm that emphasizes the experience of "living in peace."

Having been deeply involved in hotel design for 27 years, YANG has always adhered to the international expression of regional culture and Oriental aesthetics, paying attention to the sustainable development of people, space and nature. With continuous innovation, YANG has made every designed hotel a city icon!
